Town fortifications [ Walls or fortification wall ]
It probably came into existence shortly after the foundation of Štramberk, because we know that the town was extempted from taxes for 8 years in order to support fortification construction. The first mention about the fortication is wrote down in the Margrave Jan Jindřich´s document dated from 4th December 1359.
The town fortifications walls are made of quarry-stone. There were three partially kept bastions and two (today nonexistent) gates that were a part of the fortifications.
