It is the most renowned historical landmark of the town. In the first half of the 15th century the lords of Tvorkov established a fort in Bystřice. This became the fore-chateau of the later renaissance chateau which had been reconstructed for many years. In 1594 it was damaged by fire and its reconstruction was completed in 1616 by Václav Bítovský and his wife Bohunka of Víckov. Their crests are situated above the main gate. In the second half of the 18th century the fore-chateau was damaged by another fire. Later the chateau was reconstructed two more times. It´s decorated with Jan Sviták´s paintings from 1805 and Hanuš Schwaiger´s paintings from the end of the 19th century. Many exhibitions and concerts of classical music take place here in summer. There is a large park with the Field-Marshall Loudon´s memorial at the back of the chateau.

Kulatý sál (Round hall) - notable individuals were once entertained here. It now serves for cultural purposes - concerts of classical music and vernissages take place here.

Sluneční hodiny (Sun Dial) - it is the work of the painter Hanuš Schwaiger. The painting dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and it was accomplished at the request of Baron Loudon - the chateau proprietor.
