Carlsbad [ Spa ]
The greatest Czech spa existing since the 15th century. At the beginning of the 17th century there were more than 200 cure-houses there. In the 18th century, it was Med. Dr. David Becher who had the main importance for the development of the balneology. Diseases of digestive organs, disorder of metabolism and diseases of movement apparatus are treated here.
The main curing means are represented by 12 mineral springs of a temperature of 42°C - 73°C and one cold spring, natural peat and carbon dioxide. The greates spring, the hot geyser, shoots to a heigh of 15 m.
